Welcome to A Pinch of Salt!

Food has always intrigued me.Even before I was born, my to-be parents used to go to various restaurants. They enjoyed eating out together, sharing some wine and taste the fine foods the world had to offer. Now picture me, a young boy with a very big imagination and an even bigger curiosity joining them on their evenings out.

They were very clear about things. I could tag along as long as I quietly sat down at the table and ate neatly, whereas other kids ran about as they pleased, screaming,rolling around on the floor.

I could order anything I could lay my little eyes on, as long as I ate it. You can imagine the look on the waiter's face when a 5-year old me ordered frogg-legs.

Now 15 years later I look back on that period with a smile,knowing that such occasions shaped me into the person I am today. I am a 20-year old adolescent who enjoys cooking,eating out and sharing wine or other beverages with friends.

I'm a full-time student at a catering school in the Netherlands and in the weekends and evenings I work at a restaurant.
